Alignment

Alignment

n. an arrangement of variables in appropriate relation to one another.

Alignment is an arrangement in correct or appropriate relative positions. Essentially, for humans, it is easy to anticipate actions or foresee what will happen. In terms of time, a calendar has 30 or 31 days every month. Every one week, we prepare and plan for the weekend after every Friday.

Similarly, We usually speak of the sun setting in the west, but technically it only sets due west at the spring and autumn equinoxes. For the rest of the year, the direction of sunset pivots about this westerly point, moving northerly in winter, and towards the south in summer. (In the northern hemisphere, the sunset tends more northerly in summer and more southerly in winter.) The change is small, so without careful observations, it may take several days or weeks to be fully aware of the change. (Robyn Arianrhod). However, we do experience and predict each morning that the sun will rise and our thoughts and actions are well aligned according to the time each day. Wake up, brush, take a shower, get dressed, and so on…
